OPEN MIC carves out a special little place at the heart of the Brussels Ass Book Fair, where you can share your texts, animate your words and let your voice be heard. The event invites you to explore and express the theme of tenderness and connection: take to the stage and transport your audience by reading, performing or even singing your poetry, lyrics or words (all creative expressions are welcome). Author and poet Raïssa Yowali is on hand to guide this “tender session”.
To ensure that everyone gets a chance to occupy the stage, each turn is limited to 5 minutes. Want to take part in this immersive literary event? Simply bring your lines of text and register on the spot from 12:00 onwards. A mini jack will be available if you need musical accompaniment.
Limited to 12 participants. And don’t forget: we need a little sweetness and sparkle to cope with the autumn blues.
